01Overview
Woven Audience Network ("Woven," "we," "us," or "our") is an Asian American audience network that connects brands and agencies with culturally relevant publishers and platforms. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit wovenaudience.com and any related pages, services, and advertising activities we operate (together, the "Services"), and the choices you have.
Woven Audience Network is operated by Pinefield Holdings LLC, doing business as Woven Audience Network. By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
02Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit our contact form or otherwise reach out to us, we collect the information you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, company, the type of organization you represent, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location derived from IP address, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies described below.
Advertising data
As part of operating an audience network, we and our advertising partners may process pseudonymous identifiers (such as cookie identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, and IP address), information about the content and context in which advertising is served, and information about interactions with advertising, such as impressions and clicks. This information may be used to deliver, measure, and improve advertising, including interest-based advertising, as described below.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from advertising partners, analytics providers, and other sources, and combine it with information we collect. As a pre-launch company, our network of partners is still being established, and this policy will be updated to reflect specific partners and data practices as the network grows.
03Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, software development kits, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and support advertising. Cookies generally fall into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary. Required for the Services to function, such as security and basic site operation.
- Analytics and performance. Help us understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
- Advertising. Used to deliver and measure advertising, including interest-based advertising, and to limit the number of times you see an ad.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required by law we obtain your consent through a cookie banner or preference tool before setting non-essential cookies. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Services work.
04How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about Woven;
- Deliver, personalize, measure, and improve advertising, including interest-based advertising;
- Analyze usage, trends, and the effectiveness of the Services and campaigns;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and agreements; and
- Carry out any other purpose described to you at the point of collection.
Where required by law, we rely on legal bases including your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services and advertising, the performance of a contract, and compliance with legal obligations.
05Advertising and your choices
Woven supports advertising, including interest-based advertising, which uses information about your activity over time and across sites, apps, and devices to make advertising more relevant. We are committed to a privacy-first approach that favors contextual relevance and does not depend on invasive tracking.
You have several choices about advertising:
- Use the opt-out tools offered by the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org;
- Adjust your browser and device settings, including limiting or deleting cookies and resetting your mobile advertising identifier;
- Use a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing where required by law; and
- Use our Your Privacy Choices options described below.
Opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will stop seeing advertising; it means the advertising you see may be less relevant to you.
06How we share information
We may share personal information as follows:
- Service providers. With vendors who perform services for us, such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and security, under contracts that limit their use of the information.
- Advertising partners. With brands, agencies, publishers, platforms, and advertising technology providers (such as demand-side and supply-side platforms) to deliver and measure advertising.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, or protect the safety of any person.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, or in the event of insolvency.
Some sharing of advertising identifiers for interest-based advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain laws. You can exercise your right to opt out as described in the next section.
07Your privacy rights
California (CCPA and CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request access to and deletion or correction of your personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To opt out, use the Your Privacy Choices controls described in the Advertising section, send a Global Privacy Control signal, or contact us at hello@wovenaudience.com.
Other United States states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others, may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at hello@wovenaudience.com.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing, and to data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@wovenaudience.com.
We will verify and respond to requests as required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law permits.
08Sensitive information and our approach
Woven serves brands that want to reach Asian American audiences. We do not target advertising based on the actual or perceived race, ethnicity, or other sensitive characteristics of individuals, and we do not seek to collect sensitive personal information for that purpose. Our reach is built primarily through contextual signals, such as the content and language of the media in which advertising appears, rather than by collecting sensitive attributes about you. Where we process any information that is treated as sensitive under applicable law, we do so only as permitted and, where required, with your consent.
09Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the context in which it was collected. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
10Data security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any credentials you use to access the Services confidential.
11International data transfers
We are based in the United States and may process and store information in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for cross-border transfers of personal information.
12Children's privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, or under the age of 16 where a higher age applies. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@wovenaudience.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13Third-party services and links
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, platforms, and services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party you interact with.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice or obtain your consent. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
